Terrigal United FC are beyond thrilled to announce that BPL Head Coach Peter Edwards will oversee the GT A Grade program for Season 2023.

As a FFA Youth and Senior B Licensed coach,  Pete has forged out a true passion for the beautiful game – both playing and coaching gathering over two decades experience under his belt, including:

⚽  B Licenced FFA Licenced Coach
⚽  Current Youth Technical Director at Central Coast Mariners
⚽  Women’s NPL Head Coach at Central Coast Mariners 2021/22
⚽  Central Coast Football Coach of the Year 2020/21
⚽ Ex Professional footballer playing in UK and Australia at teams such as Newcastle United School of Excellence (UK), Kidderminster Harriers (UK), Blacktown, Leichhardt, Central Coast Lightning and representing NSW State teams in both football and futsal.

Coming off the back off an incredibly successful season, we look to expand on our development with Pete’s expertise leading the way.

I am looking forward to the continued development of TUFC’s future stars.  Our already strong record and coaching ranks will benefit from a curriculum based approach to the Game Training Phase. 

Pete expanded on his appointment:  

I am excited to be announced as the 2023 Technical Director for TUFC. The club has a long and proud history of producing successful teams and developing a constant pool of talented footballers. From the great work of Troy and Richard over the years, TUFC created a GT A Grade program that provides players with a real development pathway in their football journeys.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to help take this program further, as we look to build on the previous successes.

Personally I am very passionate about youth development as I get to work with the future stars of tomorrow. The importance of having ‘good coaching and mentors’ at keys stages of your football development often is the difference in players becoming successful or even continuing to play the sport in later life.

I will bring my passion, experience and knowledge to the TUFC GT A Grade program and help coaches and players get the best out of their football, both on and off the field.
