TUFC is proud to announce the appointment of Richard Ellis to Technical Director of Football for Terrigal United Football Club. This new position comes off the back of the club’s recent inclusion with Central Coast Football’s CCC program to raise coaching standards across the coast.
Many Terrigal members will be familiar with ‘Richie’ who has been Grading Day Coordinator for the past two seasons, bringing a whole new level of professionalism to the difficult task of keeping large groups of excited footballers on task. These sessions set the foundation for a successful grading period, particularly in 2018 where the Club was awarded with the Bill Pluim Cup and Jack Atkins trophy based on Junior results.
Richard brings with him a wealth of Junior Football Coaching experience, including his most recent success as the coach of our League Champion 14A team in 2019 and League Champion/Grand Final winning 12A team in 2018. He currently holds his C license and has recently enrolled to complete his B License over 12 dates in 2020.
Of the appointment, Richard said,
“It’s an absolute honour to be named as Technical Director of this great Club. I look forward to working alongside all the coaches and ensuring our kids develop and have fun playing this great game. I will see you all in January at Pre Grading Training”
The Technical Director will work closely with the Club Captain and Junior VP to deliver improved coaching standards for all Junior Footballers
