Reserve Grade
3-0 Win 🧡

Round 2 for the olasses finished up with a 6 point Sunday. Our reserve grade girls had a cracking game against Woongarrah to come home with a 3-0 win.

The girls came flying out of the gates and put plenty of pressure on Woongarrah for the whole first half, everyone worked hard as a unit to only let the opposition enter our half twice and no shots at all.

The olasses had ample opportunity but unfortunately struggled to find the back of the net. In the 42nd minute, Tiegan Kavanagh crosses in a ball which Willow Shorrocks finished nicely to finally put the girls on the scoreboard.

In the second half the olasses started on the back foot with Woongarrah piercing the back line a few times but not having any shots as our strong defense pulled them up short. It wasn’t long before a shot was saved by the Wildcats keeper and Sophie Piltz cleaned up the rebound making the score 2-0.

In the 86th minute, Willow grabbed her second goal of the game with a hard hit shot outside the 18 yard box, the keeper got a hand on it but not enough to stop the rocketing ball from the forward. The olasses dominated all game and were unlucky to not finish the game with more than 3 on the scoreboard.
