Match report vs. East Gosford
3rd Grade
Top weather conditions greeted friends and foes it’s just a pity the playing surface is well below par. Having said that I suppose the playing conditions matched the standard of the game.
If you didn’t know better you’d swear that there were 20 bakers on the park due to the amount of turnovers. It was a disappointing result considering that we had plenty of options on the bench to change things up.
I don’t understand how you can have unused subs sitting on the sidelines when it is unlimited substitutions.
If the players on the field are doing the business then maybe limit your changes but they weren’t and I’d be surprised if there wasn’t improvement on the bench needing to be played.

A terrific result for the boys to consolidate their position in the league.
Billy’s goal was a cracker, proves that sometimes a miss hit can come up trumps. You ask yourself how can this team give a performance like that this week compared to last week.
Terry is away next week hope the points don’t go west with him.

This matchup was worth 6 points as far as a spot in the top five was concerned. A win for East Gosford and a gap which would be hard to close would eventuate.
The first half was a real arm wrestle which East Gosford edged due to a dubious penalty decision just before the break.
The loss of Neil Woodcock proved costly for our opponents, as soon as he limped off we managed to equalise through Pacey.
Some of the tackles became rather robust and Birdy looked as though he’d paid the dentist a visit with a stylish bandaging created on the sideline. Luckily for us he continued playing and with just a minute or so to go surged into the box to be fouled by the keeper, win the penalty for Cam to convert and secure the points.
Terrific effort by all the guys, the coach looked happy, into the top five and another massive game next week vs. Kanwal who are really going well.
Can’t wait for next week
