Our first competition game of the season and we came up against Gosford.
The girls started off well the game seemed to go from end to end and we certainly created some good chances. Gosford to their credit made the best of the chances they got and before we knew it we were a few goals down. We did seem to lose our way a bit in the first half and by half time we were 4 nil down.
The girls were confident at half time that we could make comeback in the second half, and that is what we did. We played with a lot more confidence and that finally paid off with Laura making a great run down the left hand side of the field to put a great shot at goal and score.
Gosford came straight back with a goal but our group of players kept going and it was another run into there box and we got a penalty. For us unfortunately the Gosford keeper saved the kick and from there they went up and we went down.
An 8-1 loss but some big lesson learnt and a welcome back to Premier League for our club. I am confident that in time this group will improve.

Reserve Grade
Women were back in the CCF premier league for the first time in 6 years at Terrigal.
Reserve grade announced the return with a 3 -1 win over Gosford.
edThe result was extraordinarily pleasing with many of the players making their first appearance in grade football, as well as being a very young cohort of women. Thanks to those that help by filling in on the day. This was a great start, but it also showed that as a squad there are opportunities for development.
Although Terrigal scored first, Gosford soon equalised and did dominate the 1st half. It was not until well into the 2nd half the team started put on the park the direction that had been set in training. This let Tori and Jayde cause no end of problem for Gosford, and from there the goals were always going to come. Well done ladies. #WeAreTerrigalFC
