This was a game that was a hard fought win. There were 5 girls backing up from reserve grade for the game and this group did the club proud. Both sides had some good attacking opportunities and it was a ball across the face of goal that led to a to our first and decisive goal. The ball came in and our players attacked the ball only to see the ball come off a East Gosford player. A bit of luck for us but we will take it.

We went into the second half with a 1 nil lead and we needed to go on with the job. To East Gosford’s credit they just kept coming , we were lucky enough to keep them out and we mounted some pressure of our own to get up there end and receive a penalty. We took it and hit the bar. The second week in a row we have missed that opportunity. The team held out until the final whistle and got the points. Very pleased on how this team is building.
