BPL are unveiling are another re-signing for the 2023 Season as Daniel ‘Birdy’ Bird returns to defend the back to back BPL titles.  After a short stint in Newcastle, Birdy returned home to the Olads for Season 2022 playing a key part in our historic upset win in the Grand Final over Killarney. 

We asked Daniel for comment:  
Keen to go again. Nothing beats lifting the trophy at the end of the year and with our current squad/coaching staff we should be right there come the end of the season. We have a good mix of youth and seniors so it should be another good year in all 3 grades. I’m ready to put that orange jersey on again and aim for that B2B2B.

Pete Edwards had this to say about the re-signing:

I’m delighted to announce Daniel (Birdy) back for the 2023 season at TUFC!

Birdy is a top class, experienced player that will strengthen our attacking options this year. A technically gifted player with a natural attacking instinct.

He’s exciting to watch and will be a huge threat to any opposition we face this season.

I can’t wait to see him back in Orange, banging in goals and setting up team mates.
