T- SKILLS PROGRAM (U8-U11)

Terrigal United Football Club is excited to announce that it will introduce a T-Skills program for top graded players in U8-U11 age groups for season 2023!

The program will focus on developing the 4 core skills (1st touch, Running with the ball, Striking the ball and 1v1) set out in the Skills Acquisition Phase of the FFA National Curriculum.

The key objectives of the program will be to:

⚽Provide a local, cost-effective alternative to bridging the gap between community football and representative level football
⚽ Raise the overall standards of our coaching and teams competing in the SAP age groups
⚽Provide players a developmental pathway from club to the local representative framework.
⚽Provide ambitious players with additional coaching and developmental opportunities in order to reach their personal goals.
⚽Provide players with an alternative advanced pathway in lieu of travelling to Newcastle/Sydney

The key components of the program include:

⚽ Newly appointed SAP Coordinator delivering a technical director led curriculum.
⚽ Minimum 2 nights a week training
⚽ Opportunities for additional training delivered by SAP coordinator

I’m very excited to be back at grassroots level with my junior club Terrigal.
To me, 8-12 is the most important phase for skill development and to enhance a players understanding and enjoyment of the game is something I’m very passionate about.

To be to directly improve coaching and player education and learning is something I’m excited about and I can’t wait to get started working with players and coaches alike.
